La Tegala – Macher
La Tegala serves top end Canarian cuisine in luxurious surroundings. The restaurant is the brainchild of Anotonio Hernandez, former proprietor of La Era in Yaiza.
His passion is to take local cuisine to new levels of creativity and with the help of the very best local ingredients and rising culinary star David Moraga in the kitchen he accomplishes this mission with ease.

Cejas – Teguise
Cejas serve innovative cuisine – with lots of Japanese and Italian influences – in intimate and refined surroundings. Front of house you´ll find a café area – but head for the plush main dining room, where you can enjoy creatively presented dishes from a lengthy menu.
Cejas isn´t cheap – but you get so many extras with your meal here, such as a complimentary glass of cava on arrival, fresh bread baked on the premises and and a sorbet between courses, that it still feels like good value for money.

LagOmar – Nazaret
If you´re looking to dine in dramatic surroundings then LagOmar is hard to beat. As this restaurant, serving modern international food, used to be part of former film star Omar Sharif’s home – built into the side of a disused quarry by local architect Jesús Soto in the style of the ubiquitous Cesar Manrique.
The food here has picked up after taking a bit of a downturn a year or so ago although the menu never seems to change that much. But the location itself makes up for that and the quality of cooking is still good.

Amura – Puerto Calero
Amura enjoys a great sea front location in the marina at Puerto Calero and offers top quality international cuisine in up market surroundings.
Like many other leading restaurants Amura have a New Years Eve spectacular planned – which involves fireworks, free bar and live music and dancing. The menu that night includes delicacies such as confit of segovian pork with apples, chestnuts, ginger and orange zest and a lobster salad with scallop tartare.
The all-inclusive New Years price is pretty spectacular too – at €160 per person. Although once you allow for the exchange rate and think about the cost of most New Years events in the UK or Ireland it doesn’t seem quite that steep. And you certainly wouldn’t be partying in surroundings like this.
