The highly professional team at Endeavour Sailing organise exclusive excursions to the most beautiful beaches on the island at Papagayo. Where guests can swim in the crystal clear waters, relax on board and enjoy complementary food and drink. Whilst someone else takes care of the sailing.
Endeavour also offer more in depth instruction for those who would like to learn to sail. With a variety of courses that are all officially accredited by the Royal Yacht Association.
Lanzarote’s coastal waters provide the ideal environment for both excursions and tuition as the sea here is usually very stable and calm.
The vessels used by Endeavour are a Bavaria 37 and a Bavaria 38 – which not only have spacious and comfortable interiors but are easy to handle, even for beginners.
The Try Sail one day course is an excellent introduction to sailing, with approximately seven hours on the water, including lunch and refreshments, costs only €59 per person, excursions and classes embark from the exclusive marina at Puerto Calero.Endeavour Sailing also offers the full range of RYA (Royal Yachting Association) Courses, both practical and theory, from Start Yachting (2 days) to Yachtmaster, and family holiday charters.
Two Day Sailing Course
Duration two days with cost of €220 from April – Sept (inclusive) and €200 from Oct – March (inclusive). This course provides a short introduction to sail cruising for novices. By the end of the course, students will have experienced steering a yacht, sail handling, rope work and be aware of safety on board.
The course is aimed at the complete novice who would like to try sailing for the first time. The two days are run by friendly instructors who understand you may be apprehensive. The emphasis is on fun and enjoyment and we are sure you will not want to leave at the end of the course. Your instructor will guide you through the safety procedures and make sure you are comfortable at ease aboard your yacht before your set sail. He or she will show you all the basics and will be there to support you at every stage, but by the end of your time aboard you will have accomplished so much. You will be able to steer a yacht, handle rope work, sail a basic course and be aware of safety on board. You may find you’re a natural and hooked for life.
