This trip visits the most popular tourist attraction on Lanzarote, the Timanfaya National Park.
Tour Itinerary
The tour inside the park includes demonstrations of the geothermal heat that still emanates from the ground, as well as the opportunity to travel into the heart of the park aboard a carefully navegated coach. You´ll see walls of molten lava, incredible cones and craters and the extent of the area covered by the famous eruptions of 1730-36.
Once we have left the park, there will be a stop at the camel station, where the more adventurous can see what it´s like to ride one of these beasts. The tour then goes on to a photo stop at the unique green lagoon at El Golfo.
A short distance from El Golfo is the rugged coastline of Los Hervideros, where the sea has created several blow holes and the lava is twisted into some unusual formations. Finishing with a visit to the salt flats at the Salinas del Janubio, which are still operational today.
