The vast majority of British visitors to Lanzarote will find themselves arriving on a Thursday, as this is the busiest day of the week for UK flight arrivals and departures on the island.
However, many carriers, such as British Airways subsidiary GB Airways, operate flights on other days of the week.
The main UK airports servicing Lanzarote are Gatwick, Luton, Stanstead, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, East Midlands, Cardiff, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast.
During peak holiday periods there are also flights available to Lanzarote from most UK regional airports.
Irish visitors will usually find that their main flight day is Saturday, especially if they are flying with Aer Lingus.
Transfer Times to Resort
The following is designed to give visitors some idea of the time / distance from the airport to the three main resorts.
However, actual transfer times will of course depend upon the mode of transfer transport selected.
- Puerto del Carmen:
- 10-15 minutes
- Costa Teguise:
- 15-20 minutes
- Playa Blanca:
- 35-40 minutes
Coach Transfers
Many visitors pre-book a transfer to their resort with their tour operator.
Normally, this will be via coach.
It is worth noting that this elongates transfer times — as usually the coach will be taking a number of guests to different accommodation within the destination resort.
