The islands southernmost resort of Playa Blanca boasts the largest selection of hotels in Lanzarote. Most of which are located right on the seafront and boast excellent amenities and facilities. As these have all been constructed within the last ten years. Here we take a look at three of the most popular hotels in Playa Blanca.
Hesperia Playa Dorada

The Spanish owned Hesperia group operate a couple of high quality hotels on Lanzarote. Including the five star Hesperia Puerto Calero.
The four star Hesperia Playa Dorada is located right on top of the popular beach of the same name close to the centre of Playa Blanca. With the seafront promenade located right outside the hotels seafront gate. And boasts good facilities and friendly, well trained staff.
The hotel has no less than five seperate swimming pools and a total of 466 guest rooms. All of which feature fully fitted bathrooms, TV´s air conditioning and private balconies.
Hotel facilities include a tennis court, squash court, fitness centre, gym, sauna and Jacuzzi. Whilst guests can choose from three bars and two seperate restaurants.
The hotel currently enjoys a 76% recommendation rate on Trip Advisor and a standard double room costs €99 per night (which is the price per room not per person) for bookings during September.
H10 Rubicon Palace

H10 is another Spanish hotel chain with establishments throughout the Canaries and the Balearics. And the Rubicon Palace is one of a number of their hotels in Playa Blanca, along with the Lanzarote Princess and the Timanfaya Palace.
The Rubicon Palace is located away from the heart of Playa Blanca in Montaña Roja, towards the Faro de Pechiguera lighthouse end of the resort. Around fifteen minutes walk along the seafront promenade from the main bars and restaurants.
The hotel boasts a very impressive main swimming pool area with a snack bar and restaurant located over the water. Along with no less than seven other pools to choose from, comprised of six for adults and two for kids. Whilst the main dining room area is located off a cool and airy central atrium, where guest have a choice of dining either inside or outdoors.
This large hotel has a total of 584 guest rooms arranged in various blocks around the grounds. And is sufficiently spacious to warrant transportation of guests to room by a shuttle service from the reception area.
All rooms are spacious and well equipped with their own private balconies and guests have a choice of six seperate bars and restaurant areas. Along with a small thallostherapy spa.
Anyone looking for something a little more intimate may well find the Rubicon Palace overwhelming as it has been constructed on a grand scale and can as a result feel overcrowded in the main public areas during peak holiday periods
The hotel currently enjoys a 75% approval rating on Trip Advisor and a standard room with garden and pool view currently costs €127 per room per night in September.
Timanfaya Palace

The Timanfaya Palace is another H10 establishment located close to the Rubicon Place in the Montaña Roja area of Playa Blanca.
The hotels design has a distinctly Moorish feel, featuring a number of tall white minarets, with the whole construction orientated around a very large main pool area.
The hotel has a total of 305 guest rooms, comprised of 297 standard rooms and 8 suites. Standard rooms are spacious and boast their own private balconies, separate bathrooms and amenities such as air conditioning and TV.
The hotel has enjoyed plenty of positive reviews from guests and enjoys a 74% recommendation rating on Trip Advisor. And offers good value for money too -as a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis is currently available for just €77 per room per night in September.
