Montaña Roja
The villas situated in Montaña Roja in Playa Blanca enjoy the best of both worlds. Close enough to be within walking distance to the centre of the town and the beach at Playa Flamingo, they also provide spacious and elegant accommodation in a peaceful and private environment.
Montaña Roja 18
This villa is newly available and has a large sun-bathing terrace around the swimming pool, making it the ideal place to enjoy the excellent weather Playa Blanca usually benefits from. A covered terrace ensures that there is plenty of shade for dining out of doors and there is also a stone built-in barbecue to maximise enjoyment of the outside space.
The interior provides accommodation for up to six people, with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds. There are two bathrooms, one of which has a bath, the other a walk-in shower.
The kitchen is fully fitted with all modern appliances such as a dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. The living room has been comfortably furnished with leather suites and entertainment facilities such as Sky TV, a DVD player and a hi-fi, ideal for any evenings when guests don’t wish to venture out. Montaña Roja 19
For larger families or groups of friends, this property with five bedrooms is perfect. Divided into the main house which sleeps six and an apartment that sleeps four, there is ample space for a maximum occupancy of ten. Until very recently, the villa was a private dwelling that accounts for the high level of facilities offered.
Not only does it have a large, electrically heated pool, but there is also a covered hot-tub, delightful outdoor dining areas and some great views to be enjoyed from the garden. A built-in barbecue and a pool table complete the outdoor equipment, whilst indoors the spacious property has everything to help guests fully unwind and get the most out of their holiday.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine and the living room has a DVD, hi-fi and English television channels, such as BBC and ITV. There is also air conditioning in four of the five bedrooms. Prices start at £795 per week.
Montaña Roja 23
Another villa new to the holiday rental market, this property has bonus features, such as a games room, ideal if you have children to entertain, and air conditioning.
The pool is electrically heated and is surrounded by spacious south-facing sun terraces, perfect for sun-bathing, whilst the outdoor dining area is covered to create a comfortable shady spot. Each of the three bedrooms is air-conditioned, with the master having an en-suite bathroom, whilst the two twin rooms share a second bathroom.
As with the other villas, the central location of Montaña Roja means car hire is not an essential part of the holiday experience. The villa is available from £625 per week.
Castromar 1
The villa at Castromar has a stylish modern design, with the ensuite master bedroom opening out onto the terrace via patio doors. There are three bedrooms in total, the other two comprising a double bedroom and a single with a pullout bed.
The kitchen comes equipped with everything holidaymakers could need, including a washing machine and dishwasher. The lounge also opens out onto the pool and terrace area, and has satellite TV, DVD and a stereo to ensure guests feel fully at home.
There is an electrically heated swimming pool, a barbecue for those evenings spent at the villa, whilst the garden and terrace areas have beautiful views of the mountains behind Playa Blanca. The town centre and nearest beach are approximately twenty minutes walk, but with a local supermarket only five minutes away, car hire is not essential. The villa at Castromar 1 starts at £450 per week.
