Costa Teguise was developed as a tourist resort in the 1980’s under the aegis of the island-born artist and architect, César Manrique. Its location makes it a good base for visitors who wish to explore the northern half of the island and there are plenty of good quality holiday complexes and apartments in Costa Teguise available for rent.
Playa Bastian Apartments
Situated just behind the beach at Playa Bastian is the complex of the same name, with the apartment buildings set amongst attractive communal gardens, planted with palm trees and tropical flowers.
The complex has four swimming pools in total and is composed of a mixture of apartments and bungalows. The apartments all have either a terrace or a balcony overlooking the gardens and pools. Laid out as modern open-plan accommodation, the apartments have one or two bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchen-living rooms that open onto the balcony, making ideal self-catering accommodation.
Apart from the close proximity to the sea and the promenade that runs all the way along the front of Costa Teguise, Playa Bastian is also well located for amenities such as restaurants, shops and the local attractions of the Water Park and Golf Course. With five sandy beaches to choose from the resort is popular with families, especially those with young children. The accommodation at Playa Bastian starts at £210 per week.
Mansion Nazaret
These apartments enjoy an extremely central location, making them close to the majority of restaurants and bars in the Pueblo Marinero, the replica fishing village that forms the centre of Costa Teguise.
The main beach at Las Cucharas is only a five minute stroll from the apartments, whilst the complex itself has pretty sun terraces and gardens around the swimming pools. The complex is divided into two separate units, with Mansion Nazaret situated behind the Apartments Nazaret block.
Each apartment offers good quality self-catering accommodation, with open plan kitchen-living rooms, separate bathrooms and bedrooms. The owners of this complex offer several little extras, such as a bottle of wine on arrival and bread rolls every morning. Prices start at approximately £39 per night.
Sands Beach Villas
Sands Beach goes one better than any of the other complexes in Costa Teguise, with its own purpose built private beach and lagoon, as well as being located right next to the sea. The complex has six swimming pools, each set in its own plaza and the accommodation comprises both apartments and villas, with spacious one bedroom and studio apartments completely kitted out for self-catering.
Each apartment also comes with a private sunbathing balcony or terrace and is furnished more as if it were a home from home than holiday accommodation. On site, there are restaurants and bars, whilst the amenities of Costa Teguise are within strolling distance.
There are also sports facilities, such as a fully equipped gym, on the complex, a health and wellness centre where visitors can get a soothing massage and plenty of activities for children. There is direct access to the beach at Playa de los Charcos

Los Zocos Apartments
One of the larger apartment complexes in Costa Teguise, Los Zocos is centrally located in the resort and close to the beach at Las Cucharas. The apartments are arranged in blocks around the huge swimming pool and gardens, with on-site facilities including a food hall, laundry service and satellite TV.
The complex is particularly good for families with young children as there are numerous activities available to keep kids amused. With a commercial centre just opposite the complex, there are shops and restaurants close at hand and the beach at Las Cucharas is particularly suitable for children, as it shelves gently into the sea. An apartment for two adults costs approximately £35 per night.
