Rural hotels in Lanzarote are becoming an increasingly popular alternative to the more traditional package holiday hotels and apartments. As more visitors seek to connect with the peace and tranquility of Lanzarote´s countryside.
Casa el Morro :: Uga
The stylish Casa El Morro is located in the pretty and peaceful village of Uga, just on the outskirts of the Timanfaya National Park and the unique wine fields of La Geria.
Originally constructed in the 18th Century – and restored ten years ago – this intimate rural hotel combines modern facilities and high levels of service with antique fixtures and fittings. Creating a genuinely relaxing ambience.
The accommodation comprises six individually designed suites, which are all fully equipped and self –contained. Featuring extras such as satellite TV’s and music systems in every room.
The décor is eastern influenced. A feel that has been achieved by the use of natural pigments and limestone – as well as the use of locally sourced stone, lava and tiling. Colonial iron and glass lamps, silk material, Victorian baths, Arabic tiles saved from old Andalucian patios and arched volcanic ceilings also feature throughout.
This theme is further enhanced by the furniture – much of which is made from solid teak, imported from Indonesia.
The suites are surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden, featuring mature palm trees and flowering plants and guests have use of a well designed pool area that affords stunning views across to the peaks and cones of the nearby volcano park.
Prices range from €60 to €150 per day per suite.
