“What´s there to do for kids?” – that´s the main concern of most parents when booking a holiday. Fortunately Lanzarote has something to offer even the choosiest of children.
ALL AT SEA
If you´re looking for an excursion that combines excitement for the kids and relaxation for the grown ups – all in a safe and secure environment - then a day of luxury Catamaran sailing with Catlanza should top your list.
Catlanza´s giant catamaran has a twin hull, which ensures smooth sailing. So even children in pushchairs are welcome on board. Once on board kids can join up with the crew and help them sail the boat and raise the giant sails. Once anchored off the beautiful beaches at Papagayo there’s also plenty to keep them busy as they can enjoy a free jet-ski ride (with our instructor) and learn to snorkel.
The excursion includes free food and drink – including the child friendly option of pasta with either a tuna or vegetarian sauce, plenty of salad and fresh fruit.

WET WORLD
Aquapark Lanzarote
Lanzarote´s only water park attracts mixed reviews. Certainly, if you are expecting something on the scale of the giant aquaparks found in many resorts elsewhere in Spain and indeed worldwide then you may well be disappointed, as this attraction is definitely on the smaller side.
However, some people love it and it is popular with kids. Be aware though that the water isn’t heated – which isn’t so much fun during the winter months. There is also very little shade to protect kids from the sun.

Canarian Cetacean Museum
On the face of it a Museum displaying skeletons of sea mammals doesn’t sound like it is going to be a whale of a time, but the Canarian Cetacean Museum is an ultra modern facility which manages to grab the attention of most young visitors.
A cetacean is any member of the group of marine mammals that includes dolphins, whales and porpoises and the Museum, based in Puerto Calero, is the result of more than 20 years of research into the marine wildlife that lives in the waters of the Canary Islands.
Kids get to experience life sized replicas and skeletons of these fascinating creatures, as well as animated and interactive displays that really bring the subject matter to life.
