Cookin Bananas at the Castillo San José
The third event in the MUSICACT festival takes place this Saturday evening June 16th at the Castillo de San José, home to the Museum of International Contemporary Art (MIAC). The line-up for Saturday´s concert features leading Spanish hip hop artists, Mucho Muchacho from Barcelona and Cookin Soul from Valencia. Who together will be performing as Cookin Bananas.
Mucho Muchacho (or Mucho Mu) is the stage name for Oliver Gallego Sarmiento, MC and group member of 7 Notas 7 Colores. He has been writing and producing music since 1992 and later formed 7 Notas 7 Colores with DJ Neas and Eloy, whose debut album in 1997 was entitled Hecho, es simple. In 2000, DJ Vadim joined the group to become DJ and producer and they went on to form their own record company, La Mami International. Since then, Mucho Mu has gone on to produce his own solo album and has established himself as a club DJ in Ibiza.
Cookin Soul is a hip hop trio from Valencia, featuring Big Size, Zock and Milton. They have built up an international following, with a range of over 200 mix tapes and albums and are regarded as one of the leading European hip hop production teams. Their musical influences include rock, reggae, tunes from the 80´s and 90´s and naturally a wide range of hip hop sounds and their production has led them to work with legends such as C L Smooth, Jay-Z and Kanye West.
Tickets for this event cost €15 and are available from the ticket offices at the Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism, such as the Cactus Garden and the Jameos del Agua. The event starts at 21.00 in the restaurant of the Castillo.
