ARTS SAKE Alternative Paradise Exhibition Opens in Teguise

The Convento de Santa Domingo in the fomer island capital of Teguise plays host to a new exhibition this month, entitled Alternative Paradise, which is designed to showcase the creations of ten locally based Canarian artists, who will be communicating their own unique slants on life in the archipelago.

The Alternative Paradise exhibition runs from Sunday the 18th October through to November 22nd and features the work of local favourites such as Nicolás Láiz Placeres, who gained his Master of Arts at London’s Goldsmith College.

Multi discilpnined artist Nicolas exhibited his last collection, Jardin en Moviemento, in Haria last year to much acclaim and his canvasses will be appearing at the Convento de Santa Domingo alongside work from Claudia Torres, Elena Betancor ,Gerson Díaz, Julia María Martín, Jose J. Torres, Luna Bengoechea , Marco Alom , Oscar Marín Repoller and street art graffiti specialists Sabotaje al Montaje. Admission is free of charge.
