SHORT CUTS Lanzarote Film Festival 2017

Lanzarote´s annual festival for fans of all things filmic gets underway on April 28th and features a slew of shorts from around the world.

The Festival´s official selection committee sifted through a staggering total of 2,692 entries from 96 countries - and have whittled these down to 85 shorts, in the categories of animation, documentary, international and national.

These films will now be showcased at the recently renovated cultural centre El Almacen - originally created by César Manrique - from April 20th to 29th, along with an opening party at the Jameos del Agua and a closing ceremony at the Teatro El Salinero in Arrecife.

British film makers are represented by Meg Campbell and Shaun Clark and the Festival winners progress forward to the Goya Awards - Spain´s premier cinema awards ceremony.  Visit the official Festival website for more information and ticket details.
