HOT, HOT, HOT Heatwave Temperatures Hit High 30´s
A calima induced heat wave produced some seriously hot weather on Lanzarote yesterday as the mercury nudged into the high 30´s and beyond. With the promise of more to come over the next couple of days.
The calima blew in over the weekend and really made it's presence felt yesterday as the wind dropped away. Leaving the island baking in 35C plus temperatures which soared again during the hottest hours of the day touching 40C in some parts of the island such as Famara. With calm seas and the trademark white sky caused by the dust and sand particles in the air. Today also promises to be another hot one, with temperatures are at a more bearable 30C plus mark.
