Playa Honda is a large coastal conurbation, located in between the airport and the capital city of Arrecife.
The town has a very pleasant promenade – part of the coastal walk from Arrecife to Puerto del Carmen – featuring a number of tapas bars and restaurants.
Playa Honda is also something of a commercial hub, as it is home to the Deiland Shopping Centre, as well as various other big retail outlets such as MegaCentro.
The town is also relatively well served by public transport – making it a good base for anyone working in either Arrecife or Puerto del Carmen.
