Summer Concerts at Centres of Art and Culture

Several classical music concerts have now been confirmed for the summer, with the first event getting underway this Saturday 23rd July at the Cueva de los Verdes. Whilst the Monumento al Campesino and Jameos del Agua will also provide the scenic backdrop for several more events throughout July and August.

The first concert brings the opera singer Eric Mauricio Torres to the Cueva de los Verdes on Saturday 23rd July. The Spanish baritone will be accompanied by Nauzet Mederos on piano. Tickets for the event cost €15 each and include a complimentary glass of Lanzarote wine. The concert begins at 21.00.

On Saturday 6th August, the gardens at the Jameos del Agua is the location for an open air jazz concert, featuring Antonio Auyanet on guitar and Mario Rivero on the bass. Tickets cost €30 each and include a complimentary cocktail. The concert begins at 21.00.

The following weekend sees a concert of New Music at the Monumento al Campesino on Sunday 14th. The musicians are Toñin Corujo and his group playing a set for 'Harvest Night' from 22.00. Tickets cost €30 each and include a cocktail and tapas.

The concerts return to the Cueva de los Verdes on 20th August, with a Recital of Zarzuela, the Spanish form of theatrical and light opera music. The artists performing on this occasion are Cristina Calvo, the mezzosoprano and Maria Eugenia Jaubert on piano. Tickets for this event are €15 each and include a complimentary glass of Lanzarote wine. The recital begins at 21.00.

The final concert for the summer season is scheduled for Saturday September 3rd and will also take place at the Cueva de los Verdes. Entitled 'Classic and Romantic' it features Salva Sanchis on bassoon and Jose Maria Curbelo on piano. Tickets cost €15 each and include a complimentary glass of Lanzarote wine. The concert begins at 21.00.
