Arrecife's annual fiesta of San Gines begins this weekend, with a range of activities planned all over Lanzarote's capital between 12th and 25th August, with plenty of things to do and see for both tourists and locals alike.

Highlights which may be of interest to tourist visitors include several live music events and a spectacular firework display on the closing night of the festivities, all taking place in Arrecife. In brief, the highlights of the programme are as follows:
