Twin Classical Concerts Hit Right Note

The atmospheric surroundings of Bodega Stratvs and the Camel House will once again form the backdrop for two classical concerts on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October. These two upcoming events feature Jennifer Pike on the violin, Jeremy Pike on the piano and Arsha Kaviani, also on the piano.

Jennifer Pike is an award winning young British musician, who was voted the BBC's Young Musician of the Year in 2002. Since then, Ms Pike has performed with countless prestigious orchestras including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic and at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. She is considered one of the finest violinists in the country.

Jeremy Pike is not only a pianist but also a composer and teacher of music at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester. He is regularly commissioned to write pieces of music and works extensively in composing works that combine orchestral, voice and instrumental music in a highly personal style.

Arsha Kaviani hails from Dubai and is also an exceptionally gifted young musician, who played with the Istanbul Symphony Orchestra at the age of sixteen. Due to the difficulty of finding a piano teacher who could further improve Arsha's technical skills in Dubai, he ended up studying at the Chetham School of Music.

The structure of each concert will see Jennifer and Jeremy performing one half and Arsha performing the other. The repertoire of each evening will include works by Debussy, Gershwin, Chopin and Kaviani amongst others. Both concerts begin at 19.30 and the concert at Bodega Stratvs will also include a wine and cheese tasting. Tickets to attend the evening at Bodega Stratvs cost €30, whilst the concert at the Camel House is €25. Tickets can be purchased from Bodega Stratvs or the Camel House.
