Pablo Noguera at The Convento Santa Domingo

Head for the historic town of Teguise to take in an exhibition of works from the painter Pablo Noguera. This abstract artist was born in Valencia in 1974 but enjoys dual French and Spanish nationality. And he uses large canvasses and explosions of colour to convey his passion for texture, working in elements of calligraphy and rhythmic lines on linen and cotton canvasses.

The works pictured here are taken from his best known series of paintings, entitled About The Human Mind. Capturing the internal workings of synapses and chemicals reacting in the brain. Whilst also echoing the bright colours and intense light of his Mediterranean birthplace.

Noguera is highly regarded in the world of modern abstract art and has exhibited in major galleries and cites across Europe. So his exhibition here - which is entitled Decipherments - is well worth catching, not least as it is free of charge. Running until February 23rd and open from 10.00 to 15.00.
