Duo Cassadó at the Cueva de los Verdes

The highly accomplished classical pairing Duo Cassadó will be performing in the atmospheric surroundings of the Cueva de los Verdes this Friday, April 27th.

Fans of classical chamber music should head for the Cuevas de los Verdes this Friday to catch a performance by Duo Cassadó, which gets underway at 21.00. The Cueva de los Verdes or Green Caves as they are also known provides ideal acoustics for live performances and has been used as a concert venue by a wide variety of artists over the years.

Duo Cassadó will be the latest act to take to the stage here and they combine the talents of the eminent cellist Damian Martinez Marco and the pianist Marta Moll de Alba. The pair feature pieces by Schumman and Albeniz in their repertoire, along with the works of a number of Spanish composers and first joined forces back in 2000. Since when they have appeared in some of the greatest concert halls across the world.

Damian Martinez Marco is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music in London and has also studied in both the United States and Germany. Whilst Marta Moll de Alba was born in Gran Canaria and studied in Barcelona, where she now teaches at the Catalonia School of Music.

Tickets for the event cost €15 and are available from the box office at the Cueva de los Verdes as well as at tourist information offices around the island.
