Pepa Gonzalez Exhibition in Tias

Local photographer Pepa Gonzalez has a new exhibition of her work opening this Friday 10th May at the Ermita de San Antonio in Tias. Entitled ‘Contemplation’ it brings a host of images of Lanzarote to the viewing public.

Pepa has spent several years developing her skills as a photographer, but she is also a poet and writer and combines her love of the visual arts with written work on her blog. Many of the images she has taken around the island illustrate the unique flora, as well as a series of photos capturing the random items of rubbish occasionally to be found on the landscape.

Architectural shots also abound, with images that depict the typical features of older Canarian dwellings. The exhibition is on the move after a brief stint at the Bodega Stratvs and ‘Contemplation’ runs from 10th May until 2nd June. The opening hours for the Ermita de San Antonio are 17.00 to 20.00 Monday to Friday and 10.00 until 14.00 on Saturday. Entrance is free of charge.
