Noche Blanca In Teguise

Head to Teguise, the former island capital next Friday 6th July for the second Noche Blanca night of festivities, when there will be live music, short films and exhibitions running throughout the evening from 17.00 onwards.

In total there will 16 different events taking place, with much of the music provided by local restaurants. Bands playing folklore, jazz, pop, rock and Cuban music will be performing both indoors and out, whilst the Houston Voices are putting on a concert at the Convent of Santo Domingo. Timple specialist Alexis Lemes will be playing in the Plaza de los Leones, in front of the Palacio Spinola.

During the evening, visitors can also enjoy guided tours of the Palacio Spinola and the Pirate Museum, which is located in the Castillo de Santa Barbara above Teguise. A photographic exhibition showing the works of Pedro Duque will be open throughout the night at the Convent of Santo Domingo, whilst at the Casa delTimple, housed in the Palacio Spinola there is an exhibition entitled the ´Siren of Famara´.

Lanzaroteño clothes designer, Oswaldo Machin, will be presenting his 2013 collection, with models wearing his gear on a catwalk through the streets. A collection of short movies will also be projected in various streets around the town.
