Catch The Cuban Rhythms of Pavel Urquiza in Teguise

If, like many other tourists, you are planning to head for the Sunday market in Teguise this weekend then you also have the chance to take in a great looking gig showcasing the best in Cuban rhythms at the El Timple House Museum (formerly the Palacio Spinola), which is located right in the main square, starring the singer and composer Pavel Urquiza.

Pavel Urquiza is widely regarded as one of the leading exponents of contemporary Hispanic American musical forms and he will be appearing live from midday onwards, accompanied by Yoriell Carmona and the percussionist Toto Noriega.

During much of his musical career Pavel has formed part of the duo Gema y Pavel, performing alongside the Cuban singer, Gema Corredera at numerous festivals throughout the Caribbean, in Europe and both North and South America. The duo have published over 40 songs as well as working alongside other leading artists such as Alejandro Sanz, Tito Puente and Marta Valdes.

Tickets for the concert cost €10 and can be bought in advance from the Department of Culture at Teguise Ayuntamiento or the Creperia El Patio in Teguise. The concert starts at midday on Sunday 26th August.
