A new exhibition, entitled World of Paper, opens this week in Tias featuring the highly creative collages of locally based artist Marie Lalo.

The World of Paper exhibition is being staged at the Sala de arte Ermita de San Antonio in Tias and opens this Thursday 6th September at 20.30. Showcasing the work of the self taught Canadian born artist Marie Lalo, who has created a series of amazingly detailed and highly striking paper collages.

Lalo´s most recent work includes a collage of film legend Marilyn Monroe and the world of film is a theme that also runs through some of her previous creations, with many of her 2010 series of collages drawing heavily on B movie posters and Bollywood for inspiration.

The World of Paper exhibition runs until September 29th and can be viewed Monday to Friday from 17.00 to 20.00 and on Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00, with admission free of charge.
