Knocking on Heavens Door Exhibition in Haria

A new exhibition gets underway from this Saturday September 8th at the El Aljibe gallery space in Haria, showcasing the work of long term Lanzarote resident Romanna Brunnauer.

Brunnauer was born in Salzburg and worked as a writer and creative director in Munich before moving to Lanzarote in 2005, since when she has immersed herself in painting, creating colourful, multi-layered canvases in acrylics.

Her latest exhibition, entitled Knocking on Heavens Door, draws inspiration from the lyrics and imagery of the famous folk rocker Bob Dylan and is said to explore themes such as hope, fear and redemption.

The exhibition opens to the public this Saturday from midday and entry is free of charge, with opening hours of 10.00 to 13.00 and 17.00 to 19.00 Monday to Friday and 10.00 to 14.00 on Saturday. The El Aljibe gallery can be found down stairs in what was once an old water deposit, located just opposite the town hall building in Haria.
