More Classics At Camel House & Bodega Stratvs

Acclaimed young classical musicians Simon Passmore and Heriberto Fonseca will be performing together in a brace of concerts taking place this weekend on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th December. The first event on Friday is being staged at the Camel House in Macher, whilst the second on Saturday takes place at Bodega Stratvs in La Geria.

Simon Passmore is already widely regarded as an accomplished pianist – despite the fact that he is only twenty-two years old. His prodigious talent was developed at studying at the Royal National College of Music, where he has been studying since 2010 under the guidance of the eminent pianist Murray MacLachlan. This is one of his first concerts outside the UK, although he did perform with the Young Sinfonia in Germany in 2007.

Heriberto Fonseca is a violinist and is also twenty-two years old. Like Simon he began studying his chosen instrument as a child. And then went on to study at the Barcelona Conservatoire, earning some of the highest marks awarded at the Secondary Education Level of Music. Heriberto is now also studying at the Royal National College of Music in the UK.

The pieces these two talented musicians will be performing include Beethoven sonata no. 3, ballads by Liszt, Chopin and Ysaye and works by Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff and Ravel. Tickets for the events cost €25 for the Camel House concert and €30 for the Bodega Stratvs concert.  Included in the price of the Camel House ticket is an aperitif, whilst at Bodega Stratvs there will be a cheese and wine tasting. Both concerts begin promptly at 19.30. To book tickets, visit the Camel House website.
