BIOSPHERE TALKS Mandy Barker At MIAC

The renowned British born photographer and conservationist Mandy Barker opens a series of discussions entitled Biosphere Talks at the Museum of International and Contemporary Art in Arrecife on September 1st.

Barker has won international acclaim for her work by creating stunning images from marine plastic debris, so helping to highlight how these products not only pollute our oceans but also mankind.

Barker’s work has won plaudits worldwide, including the International Photography Award and she is a regular contributor to publications such as TIME magazine as well as a keen collaborator with organizations such as Greenpeace.

Her lecture will be conducted in English and runs for about 75 minutes. Admission is free but by invitation, which can be obtained from the Culture Department of Lanzarote’s Cabildo from this Monday from 09.00 to 14.00.
