SOME FOLK Acatife Celebrates 600 Years In Teguise

Acatife 600 commemorates the 600th anniversary of the foundation of Teguise, the former island capital which dates back to 1418.
The event is being staged by the popular folk music group Acatife, who are dedicated to maintaining local customs and traditions. In association with a cross section of other key island cultural groups such as the colourful Los Diabletes and the mass drum sounds of Batacuda Villa Pipol.
Acatife 600 is being staged in the heart of Teguise in the Plaza de Los Leones from 20.30 onwards tonight and entrance is free to all.
