CLOSE UP Cesar Celebrated At Convento Santa Domingo

A new photographic exhibition celebrating the Cesar Manrique centenary gets underway from April 14th at the Convento Santa Domingo in Teguise.

The exhibition, entitled Manrique Unpublished, showcases the work of Swiss photographer Linus G. Jauslin, a close confidant of Cesar who accompanied the eminent artist on countless cultural adventures across both the Canaries and Europe – capturing intimate and unguarded moments in the process.

The exhibition is curated by close Manrique collaborator Carmensa de la Hoz, features over 100 images and spans what was arguably Cesar’s most productive period from 1971 through to 1992, starting with the creation of the Parque Martianez in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.

The Convento Santa Domingo is located in the Plaza General Franco in Teguise, next to the Ayuntamiento and is open daily 09.00 to 14.00 with the exception of Saturday. The exhibition runs until June 16th.  Admission is free of charge.
