Four Hands At The Piano At Tourist Centres

Two new piano concerts are scheduled for this weekend at the Cueva de los Verdes and the Castillo de San José. Under the title of 'Four Hands At The Piano', Paz Jaramillo and Maribel Diport will be playing a series of classical pieces at both locations on Friday and Saturday, 24th and 25th June.

Paz Jaramillo finished her superior studies with a first prize for her specialization in Chamber Music and the Piano in both 1993 and 1995. She then won the gold medal for her postgraduate studies in France and has since worked for the Symphonic Orchestra of Bilbao and the Orchestra of RTVE, recording pieces for various television channels as well.

Her partner at the piano, Maribel Diport began her studies in Barcelona and has since taken postgraduate classes at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, under the tutelage of Ann Rich. She then finished her studies under the instruction of Michel Wagermans, the Belgian pianist who recently participated in several concerts on Lanzarote.

Tickets for the events cost €20 for the concert at the Cueva de los Verdes, which is on Saturday night and €10 for the concert at the Castillo San José, which is on Friday. Tickets can be purchased from any of the ticket offices for the Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism, such as the Cactus Garden and Jameos del Agua.
