Lanzarote Hotels Scoop TUI Nordic Awards

The tour operator TUI Nordic has awarded several Lanzarote hotels with gold and silver awards following high levels of customer satisfaction recorded by visitors from Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Finland. The awards were made at a recent presentation in Playa Blanca by the Scandinavian tour operator.

Amongst those hotels to receive high plaudits were the Princesa Yaiza hotel in Playa Blanca and the Hesperia Lanzarote in Puerto Calero. With the former receiving the gold and the latter the silver award in the category for five star hotels.

Of the island’s four star establishments, the gold prize was awarded to the hotel Las Costas in Puerto del Carmen, whilst the silver went to the Riu Paraiso and Lanzarote Village, also both located in Puerto del Carmen.

In the category for three star accommodation, the Apartments Fariones took the gold, with the silver being awarded to Parque Tropical and the bronze going to Lanzaplaya.

As part of TUI Nordic’s efforts to maintain and promote the Canary Islands as ideal holiday destinations, the tour operator is hoping to expand its offering of accommodation that can cater for family groups. Many Scandinavian visitors specifically search for hotels with large rooms that can accommodate larger family groups, including children and extended family members.
