British Tourist Goes Missing on Lanzarote

British tourist Margaret Holt, aged 65 from the Wirral, Merseyside has gone missing whilst on a walking holiday on Lanzarote. She was last seen on December 23rd and a search is now underway, conducted by the Civil Guard and local emergency services whilst the Foreign Office has also been informed of her disappearance.

The search continues on Lanzarote for missing tourist Margaret Holt, who was on the island for a walking holiday and how has not been sighted for 6 days. Mrs Holt was seen leaving her hotel in Costa Teguise on December 23rd and was last spotted in the Orzola region which is in the north of the island. She was wearing a pink vest, khaki shorts and walking sandals and was also carrying a drawstring bag.

Members of her family are also now on the island assisting with the search and have told British media that they believe that she may have had a fall whilst out walking. Anyone who has any information as to her whereabouts is being urged to contact the Spanish authorities.
