Cold Snap Fails To Disrupt Flights From UK

Tourists who have booked flights to Lanzarote and were fearing delays today as a result of the sudden cold snap in the UK look set to face minimal disruption, as airports across the country are currently reporting that services have so far been left largely untouched by the weather.

An overnight snowfall in the UK has proved less disruptive than anticipated and although there was a brief closure at Leeds/Bradford airport earlier today the Ryanair service due to land at Arrecife airport this morning at 11.40 is currently running only 15 minutes behind schedule. With other flights from East Midlands and Birmingham later today also currently unaffected.

However the Met Office is forecasting further snowfall in central and Eastern England later today, which could have a knock on effect on flights departing from UK airport for Lanzarote tomorrow. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to check the websites of their departure airports for information updates.
