Saborea Lanzarote Launch New Gastronomic Guide

A new gastronomic guide to Lanzarote has just been published to help visitors to the island learn more about the culinary delights they can expect to find in local restaurants.

The Wine and Gastronomy Guide is the work of SaboreaLanzarote, the organization currently responsible for promoting all aspects of food and drink on Lanzarote. It comes in both English and Spanish and runs to 65 pages, giving detailed information on the wide range of local produce which is used in preparing dishes in restaurants and hotels across the island.

Also included in the guide are photos and recipes, as well as details of the bodegas, local markets and cheese-makers that can be found on Lanzarote. There is also a guide to fiestas on the island, especially where this involves the preparation of specific dishes.

Copies of the guide will be available from the tourist information kiosks in each resort, as well as in locations such as the restaurant at the Castillo de San José and at the Monumento al Campesino.
