BAD BREAK Cheshire Couple Sue Thomas Cook After ‘Holiday Hell’

A family from Alsager in Cheshire are planning to take legal action against tour operator Thomas Cook, claiming to have experienced a holiday from hell after a summer break on Lanzarote.

The couple, Shareen Morton and Darmesh Patel, booked a week’s stay along with their five year old daughter Amira at the four star Sentido Lanzarote Aequora hotel in Puerto del Carmen last summer. However the family all claim to have fallen ill with food poisoning after eating in the hotel restaurant, resulting in time off work for father Darmesh on his return to the UK and a ruined holiday for all.

Darmesh Patel, speaking to the Crewe Chronicle newspaper in the UK stated; “We had been looking forward to this holiday for some time and for it to be ruined by illness was absolutely terrible. I was forced to take time off work as the symptoms wouldn’t stop and I want answers about why my holiday and my work life was left disrupted by the illness we suffered at a hotel that was supposed to have a four-star rating.”

The family has now appointed lawyers Irwin Mitchell to pursue their claim against the tour operator.
