TIME TRAVEL Teguise Walking Tours For Tourists

The former island capital of Teguise is Lanzarote’s very own time machine. As here visitors can view the oldest buildings on the island, some dating back to the 15th century, whilst discovering many hundreds of years of history.

And now the local Ayuntamiento has unveiled a new program of guided walking tours, conducted in both English and Spanish, with local experts on hand to offer in depth insight into the town’s fascinating past and outstanding architecture.

Tourists can choose from two separate tours, Historical Teguise and Teguise And It’s Surroundings. With the former taking place each Wednesday and the latter every Sunday. Both walks start from the Casa Museo del Timple and last for an hour and a half. And best of all they are entirely free of charge. However places are limited to 40 walkers per group, so reserve your slot in advance by visiting the official Teguise website.
