HIGH FLIERS Tourism Up 9% In February

As the island welcomed a total of 185,281 foreign arrivals during the course of February, an increase of nearly 9% on 2015 figures.
Whilst arrivals for the archipelago as a whole are up by just over 10% for the same period.

The factors behind this upsurge in demand are already well documented.  As the ongoing issues in former competitor destinations such
as Tunisa and Egypt has driven bookings away from the Middle East towards more tried and trusted destinations, with Spain and the Canaries reaping the benefit.
As a result it already looks highly likely that Lanzarote is well on course for another record breaking year of arrivals, with the British market once again leading the way.
