GEE WIZZ Hungary's Low Cost Airline Connects Lanzarote With Budapest

Wizz Air, one of the leading low cost airlines in east and central Europe, is now spreading its wings in the Canaries. Having just announced the addition of a new direct route from the Hungarian capital, Budapest, to Lanzarote for the coming winter season.

The Budapest based airline has already been successfully operating services to Tenerife for a year. Now they will also start flying direct to Fuerteventura and Lanzarote from October 30th and November 2nd respectively, with fares reportedly starting from as little as €47.

Wizz Air has really taken off as a company since their inuagral flight in 2004 and last year they carried close to 3 million low fare passengers from just their Budapest base alone. The announcement also reflects the on going growth in demand for holidays in the Canaries that has been generated by the collapse of former competing markets in the Middle East.
