AIR WAVES More Delays As French Strike Again

Travelers across Europe face delays and disruption today as air traffic controllers and pilots take industrial action.

In France, air traffic control strikes have become a summer tradition in recent years and today's walk out will be the 50th since 2009. Whilst industrial action is also being taken by pilots in Sweden and Holland.

French air traffic control strikes have particular relevance for tourists flying in and out of Lanzarote from the UK and Eire as most services cross French air space at some stage of their journey. And as a result this morning incoming flights from airports such as Bristol, Gatwick, Glasgow and Dublin are all running late.

Concerns are also growing about possible industrial action by Spanish air traffic controllers this summer after negotatinos broke down between unions and management late last week.
