ROUGH RIDE Four Injured On Turbulent Aer Lingus Flight

Four people have been left injured after a flight from Cork to Lanzarote was hit by severe turbulence on Saturday.

The in flight incident occurred as an Aer Lingus service from Cork neared the island. Leaving one crew member with a broken leg, another with head and neck injuries and a third with gashes to their head and arms. A passenger is also reported to have sustained minor injuries.

The Aer Lingus Flight 867 was met on arrival at Arrecife airport by emergency medical services and one injured member of the cabin crew was seen disembarking in a wheelchair whilst another was left sporting a neck brace.

As a result the return flight to Cork that Saturday evening was cancelled and rescheduled for departure on the Sunday morning.
