SKIN FLICK Tinajo Takes Starring Film Role

Lanzarote enjoys yet another starring role in a major film production as trailers for the Sci-Fi movie Cold Skin hit cinema screens across Europe this month Cold Skin was shot on location in Tinajo and is scheduled for full release this coming October.

Many of the key scenes were filmed on the volcanic Las Malvas beach in that area of the island - which doubles up as a desolate island close to the Antarctic Circle in the movie.

The Franco-Spanish production is a screen adaptation of the popular novel created by Catalan author Albert Sánchez Piñol and features British actors such as David Oakes and Ray Stevenson. The plot revolves around Oakes´character, who takes up a position as a meteorologist on this supposedly deserted island - only to find it inhabited by a deranged Stevenson and a host of strange species.
