ALL OUT Strike Action Threatened At Tourist Attractions

Tourists hoping to visit Lanzarote´s key tourist attractions in August, such as the Timanfaya National Park and the Jameos del Agua may have their plans thwarted by industrial action. As workers at Lanzarote´s Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism plan to go on strike indefinitely from August the 15th.

The dispute, inevitably, is over pay and conditions. And comes as a real baptism of fire for the island´s newly appointed Councillor for Tourism, Echedey Eugenio, who now faces the challenge of settling the dispute amicably in order to keep the island´s main tourist attractions open for business during the peak summer season.
