NEW HORIZONS Nine New Winter Services Take Off

No less than nine new international services to Lanzarote have been cleared for take off this coming Winter, as island authorities press ahead with their plans to diversify away from their current reliance on the UK market in order to counter any possible Brexit fall out.

The French market has been successfully expanded over the last few years and is now Lanarote´s fifth largest source of foreign tourist arrivals after the UK, Germany, Eire and Holland. These figures will be further boosted this winter by the creation of two new services as easyJet launch direct winter flights from Charles de Gaulle and budget carrier Volotea inaugurating flights from Nantes from November 11th.

The German market is already enjoying a major renaissance in 2017, with arrivals soaring by 11.2% for the year to August. And now the German budget operator Niki Air will be flying in even more German tourists from Hamburg and Cologne across the winter months. Whilst TUFly Nordic have unveiled a new route from Malmo and Polish operator Ente will be carrying passengers in from Wroclaw in Poland.
