BLOW OUT Winds Up To 75km Expected

AEMET, the state meteorological agency, has issued a yellow alert weather warning today, as high winds of up to 75km per hour are expected to gust across the island.

A weather disturbance in the Eastern Canary islands is creating unstable conditions at the start of this week across the archipelago. Wind speeds are expected to pick up throughout the day, coming from the direction of the North and North East and incoming clouds are expected to bring more rain and even possibly hail, a rare occurrence indeed in this corner of the world.

Current forecasts suggest the windy and cloudy weather may persist into at least Wednesday, although wind speeds should start to drop from tomorrow.
