WEATHER WARNING High Winds Forecast For Wednesday

As holidaymakers hoping to depart from the UK and Eire struggle with the Beast From The East the Canaries are about to experience the Pest From The West, as another storm front blows in across the archipelago.

AEMET, the state meteolorigal agency has issued an Orange Alert for tomorrow, Wednesday the 28th of February. With winds of up to 95km per hour expected from the South West, along with extremely rough conditions at sea and along the coast, as well as some rainfall.

Islands in the west of the archipelago such as El Hierro and La Palma are already experiencing storm conditions and wind speeds are already picking up here on Lanzarote and will intensify further tomorrow..

These weather conditions both here on Lanzarote and in the UK could once again impact the travel plans of thousands of tourists both arriving and departing the island.  Whilst Storm Emma is expected to hit mainland Spain and Portugal tomorrow and Thursday.
