BUG BARE British Tourists ‘Eaten Alive’ In Lanzarote Hotel

A British couple found themselves sharing a room with hordes of bed bugs at the Lanzarote Palm Hotel in Puerto del Carmen…

Christina Barber and Tristan Dainty from Staffordshire booked a sunshine break at the Lanzarote Palm Hotel with Thomas Cook last month. But their holiday was ruined and the couple were left scarred after they were repeatedly bitten by bed bugs.

Initially the couple attributed the bites to mosquitoes, however the real case revealed itself when they awoke one night to find themselves covered in black bed bugs. Resulting in a visit to the local hospital for treatment. The couple were eventually switched to a new hotel.

They are now back in the UK awaiting the results of hospital tests for possible infections. Thomas Cook are aware of their complaints and are also awaiting the medical test results before responding.
