Ryanair Send Belgian Students Packing
Low cost carrier Ryanair has created a humorous response to the on board Belgian student mutiny that occurred earlier this week and which resulted in over 100 passengers being ejected from a flight from Lanzarote to Charleroi. By posting a tongue in cheek video on You Tube which offers a master course in how to correctly pack your travel bags.
The video, entitled Master Packer demonstrates how easy it is to pack enough clothes for a two week holiday into a carryon bag. And according to company spokesperson Stephen McNamara: "This tutorial will allow these students to comply with the airline policies they accept when booking a flight." Ryanair is today calling on Belgian universities to ensure no further embarrassing international episodes when their students travel abroad by providing them with an online tutorial in how to pack light.
The incident on board the Ryanair flight to Belgium last weekend was not such a joke at the time however. As scuffles erupted and quickly escalated as ground staff attempted to impose an excess baggage fee on one particular student. Security were called and the group were ejected from the plane.
