Ryanair Unveil New Routes & May Offer

Ryanair has unveiled new services to Lanzarote from twelve European airports. Along with a special May offer, with flights to Lanzarote available on specific days next month from as little as €7, available until midnight today.

The latest connections between the Arrecife airport and mainland Europe will see Ryanair extend its network of flights to thirty airports across the continent. With flights between the UK and Lanzarote now available from Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds Bradford, Luton and Stansted airports. Whilst the Republic of Ireland will have routes between the island and Cork, Dublin, Shannon and Knock.

At the same time the low cost carrier has also broadened its routes across Spain, Italy, Germany and Holland, with flights now available between Lanzarote and Barcelona, Bologna, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Eindhoven, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe, Madrid, Milan, Santander, Santiago, Seville, Valencia, Valladolid, Venice and Zaragoza.

To celebrate the launch of the new Ryanair base in Lanzarote, thousands of cheap flights are being offered at only €7 each. This special price applies to any flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in May on more than 1,200 routes operated by Ryanair throughout Europe. The offer is open until midnight on Monday 11th April at www.ryanair.com.

The introduction of a permanent base for the budget airline means that two aircraft will remain at Arrecife airport overnight. The economic impact of creating the base in Lanzarote is expected to boost the tourist sector on the island by €240 million.

Ryanair aims to carry 1.2 million passengers in its first year of operations, with 150 flights weekly. As a result of this new initiative approximately 1,200 jobs will also be created.
