HD Group Invest 13 Million Euros in Costa Teguise

The HD hotel chain are about to unveil their latest investment in the Canaries. As the doors are set to open next month on the newly refurbished, four star Las Arenas hotel, located right on the seafront in Costa Teguise. With further plans in the pipeline to build a new €50 million luxury hotel in the Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca.

The HD Group has recently invested €13 million in the refurbishment of the former two key apartment complex of Las Arenas. So adding to the existing range of good quality four star hotels in Costa Teguise.

One of Las Arenas’ major selling points is that it will be home to one of the best spas in Lanzarote, as well as boasting an impeccable beachfront location right next to the Gran Melia Salinas hotel and with direct access to the beach at Los Charcos. It will be renamed the HD Beach Resort and will have 177 rooms in total.

The investment has been undertaken by the Grupo Hermanos Dominguez, the company behind the HD chain of hotels. As work has been ongoing for the last year, the new hotel is due to open its doors to the public as soon as 24th June.

The spokesperson for the Grupo Hermanos Dominguez envisages the hotel will also be able to provide employment for some fifty people in the area. This project is the latest in a number of upgrades for HD establishments in the Canaries, which also has hotels in Tenerife and Gran Canaria.

Also in the pipeline is the construction of a new luxury hotel in the vicinity of Marina Rubicon in Playa Blanca, which currently has a budget of €50 million earmarked for its development. HD hotels already have one aparthotel in the southern resort of Playa Blanca, which is the Pueblo Marinero, situated between the Marina Rubicon and the hotels that lie closer to the beaches at Papagayo.
