Music For The Soul at Cueva del Los Verdes

An extra, eclectic concert has been squeezed into the summer schedule of events at the Cueva de los Verdes, entitled 'Concierto para alma del agua'. Taking place tomorrow evening, Saturday 30th July, the concert will feature the voice of Mona Valenas and the two Mircescu sisters who are, apparently, doctors of ‘music therapy’.

Amongst the instruments chosen to accompany the vocal talents of Ms Valenas will be Tibetan bowls and the piccolo and flute, played by Georgiana and Ariadna Mircescu. Mona Valenas hails from Romania, where she has developed a musical career that combines astrology and the human voice. At present, she is involved in a project entitled 'Priestess of the Sea' here in Lanzarote.

The Mircescu sisters both studied the flute at the Music Conservatory of Bucharest and have been performing in concert around Europe over the last two years. Tickets for the concert cost €15 and are available at the ticket offices of the Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism, such as the Cactus Garden and Jameos del Agua. Or they can now be purchased online at the Centros Turisticos website, www.centrosturisticos.com. The concert begins at 20.30.
