Other key attractions include the many creations of the famous local artist César Manrique, who helped to design and develop Lanzarote's six main centres of Art, Culture and Tourism. Such as the stunning Jameos del Agua, a collapsed lava tunnel which Manrique transformed into an amazing underground auditorium and concert venue.
Equally breathtaking is the view from the Mirador del Rio, another Manrique creation right on the nothern tip of the island. The Mirador was once a naval gun battery but was turned into an amazing lookout point by Manrique in the early 1970's.
